Born and raised in Vancouver, Leigh obtained a Law degree from the University of British Columbia before moving to Trail to co-found McEwan Harrison in 1979.  

Leigh now mainly practices as a Civil litigator and Family Lawyer.  He is also a certified Commercial Mediator.

In 1991 Leigh was  designated a Queen’s Counsel.  He is a Past President of the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and a past Director of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association. As well Leigh served on the Provincial Judicial Council, the body that considers applications for the Provincial Court Bench.

Leigh lives with his wife Jill in Rossland where they enjoy cross country skiing.  Leigh is a proud Rotarian.
